Our students are regularly out and about on school trips that support and enhance their curriculum learning experiences.
Established as one school in 1880, Timaru High School was originally a co-educational school that opened with 35 girls and 29 boys on the site of Timaru Girls’ High School on the corner of Cain and Hassall Streets.

On Monday 10 April, Mr Miller and Mr Bennison took a group of twelve Year 10 students out to Richard Pearce Airport for a fly around Timaru.
In 2017 we are continuing to foster continual improvement of our students' Literacy. We ask that you ask about your son’s reading and encourage them to read regularly at home. The following are some recommendations from the Library that have been popular with Y9 and 10 students.
