Library

The Library is the information centre at Timaru Boys' High School and is central to learning. It is a place where boys are inspired to read and broaden their knowledge of the world around them. The library has a place for everyone; for studying, relaxing with a good book, or meeting with friends.

Resources

Students may borrow up to 4 items at one time. Books can be borrowed for 3 weeks, magazines for 1 week. Parents can check their son’s loans through the parent portal. New books can be viewed on display stands and also on the library website. Students are encouraged to reserve any books that interests them or request any books that they would like to see in the library. Our collections includes fiction and non-fictions books, reference material, graphic novels, manga, popular magazines and online databases. The library also has an IT room which is available to students studying at lunchtime.

For more information about the books available in our library click on the library catalogue link at the top of the page.

Student Librarians

We have a team of students who help maintain the library during lunchtimes. A student can volunteer to help at any time.
