Timaru Boys’ High School has a very active and supportive Parent Teacher Association (PTA). As well as organising and assisting with school events, fundraisers and Open Nights, the association also manages the Uniform Shop - selling second hand uniform items on behalf of parents.
One of the association’s prime objectives is to raise funds to provide additional resources and educational opportunities for students. We also strongly encourage parents/caregivers to be involved in the education of their boys by providing an important link between school and home.
The PTA meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7.00pm in the staff room. All are welcome to attend.
Parents are given the opportunity of purchasing second-hand uniforms in December (after Junior Prizegiving) and in January before school commences. These sales are run by PTA volunteers.
If parents would like to donate any used but still serviceable uniform items, please clean them and drop them to the School Office as we sell them as a PTA fundraiser - all proceeds go back into the school. This includes black school shoes too please. Any queries, please contact the school office.
