MAADI CUP WEEK
Our squad of 24 rowers returned to school after an intense week of racing at the National Secondary Schools Rowing Maadi Cup at Lake Ruataniwha. The team reached a creditable 6 x A Finals (top 8 in NZ) and several B finals (top 16 in NZ).
There were many highlights including watching the U17 reach the A final in the coxed 8 - in the new boat donated by an Old Boy. Congratulations to Josh Sadler for winning the gold medal in the U16 single.
Thank you to Mr Thorp, Mr Miller and Mrs McCone who joined us during the week along with many other supporters (friends, sponsors, family and extended whānau).
Well done to the whole team, coach Brian Smith and assistant coaches Mac Brown & Luc Todd, and managers for a fantastic regatta competing admirably at national level.
