Riders were greeted with challenging conditions, with the track particularly slippery early on and several large bog holes to navigate.
Four TBHS riders competed in the Novice classes, with all performing strongly. Samuel Westgarth achieved an impressive 12th place overall across all Novice classes.
In the Competitive classes, seven TBHS riders competed across a range of categories, again producing excellent performances. William Rogers excelled in his first cross country race, finishing 2nd in his class and an outstanding 3rd overall from a field of more than 120 riders. Hunter McKenzie was another standout performer, finishing 7th in his class and 14th overall.
The team would like to extend a sincere thank you to Active Refrigeration for sponsoring the race jerseys, and to Timaru Honda for initially subsidising the jerseys at the time of purchase.
It was a fantastic experience for all involved, and the boys are already looking forward to competing again next year. 🏁🏍️
