Noah Marr wins art prize
Year 3 Visual Arts student, Noah Marr has gained second place in the recent Impact Art Awards held in Timaru. Noah's image captured the attention of the judges with its creative manipulation. Titled "Power To The People," it shows power lines and an eye watching over us all.
The Impact Art Awards showcase the incredible talent of student artists from across the region, with entries representing a wide range of mediums and artistic styles. This year’s competition attracted some of the region’s top emerging artists, providing students with the opportunity to share their creativity and have their work recognised.
Timaru Boys’ High School proudly submitted 12 pieces across a variety of mediums, including watercolour paintings, charcoal sketches, and enhanced photography. The standard of work produced by our students was exceptional, highlighting the creativity, skill, and dedication developed through the Visual Arts programme.
Congratulations to Noah on this fantastic achievement, and to all of our Visual Arts students who represented TBHS with such creativity and passion. We are incredibly proud of the way they continue to challenge themselves and bring their ideas to life through art.
