Finn Tregurtha-Nairn Represents New Zealand at Oceania Athletics Championships
We are incredibly proud of Year 9 student Finn Tregurtha-Nairn, who recently represented New Zealand at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin.
Finn headed away in May for this exciting opportunity, competing against some of the best para athletes from across the region. With para athletics being an open-age competition, Finn faced the challenge of lining up alongside world-class athletes, including World Champions and Paralympians. It was a fantastic opportunity to test himself, gain valuable experience, and continue developing as an athlete.
Sporting his New Zealand team gear for the first time was a special moment, and Finn embraced the experience with pride and determination.
Finn returned home having achieved some outstanding results, including a Bronze medal in the long jump, a strong 7th-place finish in a highly competitive 200m final, and a personal best (PB) in the 400m. This was an impressive multi-event performance and a reflection of Finn’s hard work, commitment, and resilience.
Congratulations, Finn, on representing New Zealand with such pride. We look forward to following your continued success.
