Parkrun
As we know, getting our teams to competitions involves significant costs, and fundraising plays an important role in helping make these opportunities possible for our students.
The Cross Country team held a sausage sizzle after the parkrun. A massive thank you to Timaru Motors for providing the use of their barbeque, and to everyone who supported the fundraiser. Your generosity helps our team as they prepare for the season ahead.
The morning was also a great opportunity for the team to have a hit out ahead of next week’s Aoraki Championships. It was an outstanding performance from our runners, with ten boys breaking the magical 20-minute barrier. TBHS dominated the parkrun results, with many runners achieving significant personal best times over the 5000m distance in a strong field of 196 participants.
Well done to all involved — a fantastic effort from the team!
