A team of 17 TBHS runners and four others from the Aoraki region travelled to Wellington to run in the National championships at Trentham Memorial Park over the weekend of June 21-22. The course was mostly flat but with numerous river crossings, stopbanks that turned to mud, constant rain and gusting winds. It was challenging just to finish the races and there was a fair amount of carnage on the course.

Connor Scoon joined a small group of local runners to claim a top 10 spot in a National event with 8th place in Year 9. He also managed a bronze medal on Sunday in the Regional Relays in the Mixed A team. William Patterson had a memorable weekend being our top Junior runner and Isaac Park was first TBHS home in the Senior race.
