OB Exchange held on Tues 23 June
The annual Otago Boys Exchange was held on Tuesday 23 June in good weather with lots of competitive matches & a good overall result.
TBHS 5 wins, OBHS 2 wins, Drawn 3
RUGBY
1st XV Rugby 26-26
Colts Rugby 17-27
The 1st XV match was played on a slippery surface at Fraser Park. The home side created several opportunities on attack, when moving the ball into space, but unfortunately handling lapses prevented them converting some of those chances. OBHS were good at retaining possession and put pressure on the home side through a strong, well drilled pack. In the end the 26 all draw was probably a fair result. This saw Otago retain the Ian Sawers Trophy. The Colts team put in a good second half, in an improved performance against a strong OBHS side who had beaten them heavily in their first-round clash. The final score was 27-17 to Otago.

The 1st XI Hockey match was a high-quality clash between two strong sides. Timaru continued their strong recent form with a 4-2 victory.
BASKETBALL

Jnr Basketball 101-57
TBHS seniors summoned a strong, cohesive team performance in a 90-83 win. . A promising junior side continued their good season, with a dominant second half in a 101-57 win. Year 10 players Carter Stokes and Chase Thomas were among those who stood up for the home side

In the 1st XI Football match s strong OBHS side-controlled proceedings in their 4-1 win. The junior sides were well matched and fought out a 2-2 all draw.
