2026 Aoraki Swimming Championships
This event was held on Friday the 24th of April in Ashburton.
Timaru Boys’ High School had a team of 8 swimmers; Geunwoo Kim, Scott McLachlan, Isaac Boorer-Lilley, Logan Dunn, Rex Liu, (all swimming in the 15 and Over categories) Lucas Dirkzwager, Alex Dunn and Bentley Na (all swimming in the 14 and Under categories). It was a successful day with 7 of the 8 swimmers gaining top three placings.
Relays:
TBHS senior 15 and Over Medley Relay (Geunwoo, Scott, Isaac and Rex) - 2nd
TBHS senior 15 and Over Freestyle Relay (Geunwoo, Scott, Isaac and Rex) - 3rd (0.8 sec off 2nd)
Unfortunately we had a junior swimmer who was unable to make the meet so the junior relay team of Lucas, Alex and Bentley were allowed to include Logan in their team and swim, but could not gain an official time as he is a senior.
