The Maadi Cup is the prize for the New Zealand Secondary Schools Boys' Under 18 Rowing Eights. More colloquially, it is the name given to the New Zealand Secondary Schools Rowing Regatta, at which the Maadi Cup is raced. This year Maadi was held at Lake Ruataniwha, Twizel.

2135 competitors from 130 schools swooped into the small town of Twizel. The weather all week was perfect for rowing, cold mornings,hot days. Throughout the week we had several boys in the heats all doing well getting ready for the finals to be held on Friday and Saturday. At the end of the week, we had 13 crews in the A finals and 2 crews in the B finals.
A massive thank you to all parents who helped Liam and Jamie (coaches) during their time in Twizel.
