Aoraki Swimming Championship

Our swimmers took part in the Aoraki Swimming Competition held in Ashburton.

This year this event took place in Ashburton on Friday 27th of May. Even though there were swimmers that could not attend, with COVID still affecting events, numbers were larger than expected. Our team consisted of Thomas Kyle (captain), Benson Arnold, Josh Young, Alex Tudgey, Jack Boorer-Lilley, Luke Tompkins, Lachlan Crawford and Guenwoo Kim.

TBHS had a successful day. We won both the senior relays, medley and freestyle, with our B team placing as well. To cap the day off we also won and placed with our two teams in the t-shirt relay, which was a fun event held at the end of the meet. These relay results were extremely pleasing, especially for the B team as we had two juniors swimming up in the senior division in that team. Official results are yet to come through as to our placing in the school, junior boy and senior boy championships.
