South Island Secondary School Champs
Our Rowing squad competes at the South Island Secondary School Champs at Lake Ruataniwha this weekend. We wish them all the best.
They are going into this tournament with a bit of form from the recent South Island Junior Regatta. The small squad of 9 rowers won a total of 8 medals and in doing so were awarded the Gerry Dwyer Sculling Cup for the second consecutive year.
Head coach Brian Smith said, "I am enormously proud of the entire squad who consistently put in the time, effort and miles, and it is fantastic to see this effort being rewarded by their results on the water this weekend."
