Congratulations to Caleb Cameron who, as one of three placegetters from the Aoraki Secondary Schools Chess Champs, travelled to Auckland for the Chess Power National Invitational Chess Championship.
Caleb, along with Jack and Max Patterson from Geraldine were amongst 95 competitors in total. All three boys performed really well with Max and Caleb finishing in the top 25%, winning 5/9 games. Jack finished in the top 15%, winning 6/9 games. Caleb's highlight was winning against the seventh seed in his first game and the sixth seed in his last game.
