Congratulations to all 40 students from local secondary schools who slept rough overnight in November, raising over $4,000 for the South Canterbury Presbyterian Support Family works' foodbank.
Mountainview High School Head Girl Beth McHaffie and Timaru Boys’ High School Head Boy Josh Earnshaw organised the event where students attempted to sleep at Strathallan Cr, in the heart of the town’s CBD from 7:30pm on Sunday 15th to 7:30am Monday 16th November.
It is great to see our local senior students collaborate and raise funds that will be used to assist local families as we approach the busy Christmas season.
