The 1st XI Hockey have suffered their first defeat of the Connetics Canterbury Secondary Schools Competition, going down to Christ's College 4-1 held in Christchurch.
It was a hard fight from our boys against a very determined Christ's side who had a dominant second quarter to take the title for 2021.
Christ's have had an incredible back end to the season and were great ambassadors for their school out on the turn - well deserved champions.
We are extremely proud of our boys' outstanding effort this season in making only their second ever Canterbury final.
Thank you to Canterbury Hockey for making the finals happen in AL2 conditions and to CelloSport for the great livestream coverage to allow our supporters back home to be able to follow the game from afar.
Our sincere thanks also to KPMG for their generosity and support of our team. This support has a massive positive impact on not only the sport, but more importantly the development of young men.
