The Sports Council has been up and running for just over 18 months now at TBHS.
In that time, a Strategic Plan and Sports Policy has been developed, and several new initiatives have been implemented. The purpose of the Sports Council is to enhance participation through improved pathways and opportunities in sport and the overall sporting experience for all its stakeholders through a collaborative and focussed approach.
TBHS is now looking to appoint three individuals from our community (Community Reps) who believe they can make a positive contribution to sport at TBHS.
Each person being sought for this voluntary position will bring all or some of the following:
· A strong interest in youth sport participation and development
· The ability to think and act strategically and collaboratively
· Leadership in elite youth sport development
· A financial perspective, including experience in seeking funding and sponsorship
Commitment required: The council will meet 8 times per year and you may also be required from time to time to work on specific projects. The term of membership will be reviewed at 12 months.
