Timaru Boys’ High School will have a delayed start to the school day on Friday 9 September.
School lessons will begin at Period 3 (10.55am) instead of Period
1 (8.55am) following staff attendance at a PPTA union meeting at Timaru Girls’,
to discuss changes to school funding recently proposed by the Government. Boys are to arrive at school for Period 3.
Non-union staff will be available to provide supervision in the school library for those boys who need to come in earlier than Period 3.
We are still working to delay rural bus services to the school on the morning of the 9th, for those who require this transport, and will confirm arrangements nearer the time.
We apologise for any inconvenience this adjustment to the school day may cause.
