Year 12 Pace visited the Antarctic Centre on 6 May. They experienced the cold temperatures, technology used to survive and met with the huskies who are no longer permitted to visit Antarctica.
Next stop was Orana Wildlife Park where the boys learnt about animals and their adaptations for movement and survival in their environment.
Particular highlights of the day were viewing and experiencing animals feeding, seeing the monkeys, gorilla and orangutan.
The boys were also surprised to hear that cellphones can be recycled to help reduce reduction of gorilla habitat.
