New Zealand Raptor Trust Visit

By TBHS | Posted: Tuesday December 1, 2020

Year 9 Totara recently had the opportunity of a closeup experience with raptors at the local Raptor Trust.

Two Kahu, Tom and Cole, are hawks that have been rehabilitated by the Trust and prompted numerous questions about feeding, training and rehab methods.

The New Zealand Raptor Trust was established to care for sick, injured or orphaned raptors for rehabilitation and release back to the wild.

Many thanks to Old Boy Ron Lindsay who hosted our boys.

We think the Raptor Trust is an absolute treasure and is set to be a Timaru tourist attraction!https://www.facebook.com/nzraptor/
