This term the PB4L focus is 'our responsibility'.
In particular, we will be targeting the beginning of lessons and encouraging students to recognise and act upon their responsibility to arrive well prepared to start every lesson in a positive manner. This includes having all of the required equipment, but also the appropriate mindset which will allow them to make the most of each lesson. Teachers will be encouraged to support this with meaningful 'do now' or 'starter' activities that students can immediately engage in.
Building these positive routines is a small, but significant step to developing a positive classroom culture and can have a huge impact on the rest of the lesson. You can also support this initiative at home by helping develop or refine the morning routine of your son(s). A short and simple morning routine that starts at home can help all students arrive with all of the necessary equipment, and in the right mindset to get the most out of each school day.
