Thank you to the staff and students who gave up a Sunday morning to help clean up our local coastline, and in the process, bagged a trailer load of tyres, plastic and scrap metal.
More than a dozen volunteers from the school environment group, ably supported by staff, focused on cleaning up the southern beach in the vicinity of Scarborough Road.
South Canterbury Forest and Bird committee member Kimberley Collins applauded the group for its efforts who recently helped raise $500 for Forest and Bird through a school mufti day.
