Timaru Boys' has a strong network of Peer Support leaders to support our Year 9 students as they settle into their new school family.
Thank you to our Year 13 team who underwent training at John Scott Lodge for a week before school commenced in February - your support is very much appreciated by the school community.
The leaders learnt how to manage the Lodge, its water system, improved upon their cooking skills and other duties, running games and activities in the classroom, and enjoyed all those fantastic camp games you play at night.
Our leaders tend to get out with their classes at least once a week, play some fun games, and have some friendly chats with the class. By the time they go on camp, the boys know their Peer Support leaders really well.
