All boys at Timaru Boys High School wear uniform during the school day. The uniform changes from the Junior uniform (Years 9 & 10) to a Senior uniform at Year 11 and there will be additional money required for white shirts, tie and blazer.
One year's insurance with Allianz Student Insurance. If your student already has insurance, this can be waived but we will need proof of the insurance.
The student will be expected to pay from his personal allowance for any taxis, toll calls, tuck shop, travel, personal clothing, holiday activities, correspondence or additional tutors.
This fee pays for all office work regarding international students including international phone calls, emails, postage and general administrations on the international student's behalf.
Refunds up to the beginning of the course are payable in full except for an administration fee of $500.00.
After the course begins, one full term’s notice must be given before a refund can be made. Refunds are permitted only for extreme situations of health or family circumstances.
Except in exceptional circumstances, no refund is payable to a student who withdraws in the second half of the
course.

Timaru Boys' and Timaru Girls' in conjunction with South Canterbury Aero Club are very pleased to offer an aviation course to senior students. Students have the opportunity to attain a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) in fixed wing (aeroplane) while studying for their national academic qualifications. Further information is available here.
