Term 3 News
Term 3 we started our long awaited addition to Thomas House Dining Room, the addition will allow for at least 40 more boarders in the dining room at the same time plus adding another servery area. Our kitchen staff are pleased that the outside freezer will now be inside also. We estimate that it will be completed by the end of Term 4.
Sadly we say goodbye to Darren Roberston our Assistant Manager who has been with us for 4 years. Darren has been a constant presence at night from 3pm to 11pm which has brought some stability and continuity to the night schedule for both staff and boarders. We appreciate all that Darren and his family have put into these years at Thomas House, we wish them all the very best with HQLift Gym and their new home.
Winter is always a busy season for most boarders, between rugby, hockey, trapshooting, basketball and football. We managed to get through most of the season with only a few minor injuries. Now onto summer hockey and mostly cricket.
We are thrilled to have finished the Multi Sport Court area with a back-wall, basketball hoop and some lighting for those shorter days over winter. You will find boarders from morning till evening out playing one of many sports each day. Hardy Southern boys mean it doesn't matter if it frosty or wet they are out there playing. We are so grateful to all businesses, parents that donated to this awesome project.
Bring on summer and the long nights, the opening of the swimming pool and mostly just the juniors onsite while the seniors are doing exams and study.
