SISS Rowing at Lake Ruataniwha
South Island Secondary Schools Rowing was disrupted on the Friday by a strong, persistent wind but Saturday was much calmer. Our crews are performing well, particularly in the U17 division. Well done lads!
George Talbot in the U17 Single sculls Won Gold!
3 silver medals in the following A Finals:
U17 Coxed Four (Josh Sadler, Baxter Hopa-Parke, Stirling Heffernan, Murphey Hopa-Parke & Ned Brown)
U 17 Coxed Four (Tim Bartlett, Louis O'Sullivan, George Talbot, Cooper Gordon & Ned Brown)
and U17 Pair (Cooper Gordon & Tim Bartlett)
Bronze medal in the U17 Coxed Quad sculls (George Talbot, Tim Bartlett, Cooper Gordon & Ned Brown)
With a total of 1 x Gold, 3 x Silver and 1 x Bronze medals and 3 x 4th places and 3 x 5th places in A finals the TBHS Rowers are on track for peak performances at Maadi Regatta set to take place at Lake Ruataniwha at the end of the month.
