Sports Day run by Sport Canterbury
Three Year 9 & 10 T.B.H.S. teams travelled to Ashburton for the 'No Limits' Sports Day which was run by Sport Canterbury. This event is designed for all students, including those able bodied and those with disabilities (physical and neuro diverse).
Teams from Ashburton College, Mt Hutt College and Ōpihi also took part in the event. It was great to see the boys' enthusiasm trying all the activities which ranged from seated pickle ball, blind- folded soccer, neuf ball and cricket.
A favourite for all the boys was the wheelchair basketball, teamwork along with persistence were required in this incredibly skillful sport.
Thanks to Amanda Everett, Ange Fitzgerald and other Sport Canterbury/South Canterbury staff for organising such a fun and inclusive event.
