We wish to acknowledge Caltex’s generous donation and their commitment to supporting schools across New Zealand.
Through their local network, Caltex help more than 80 secondary schools across New Zealand by providing $1,000 of fuel sponsorship to each school to help students attend their training and school sports events. Caltex Washdyke kindly nominated Timaru Boys’ High School as a recipient in 2025.
Cricket and Basketball were chosen to receive $500 each.

As part of their competition the boys travel weekly to Christchurch to play. The 1st XI are in the top 4 of the Christchurch competition this year, and the support of local businesses help support them to achieve this success.”
“Our Senior A Basketball team was privileged to be able to receive fuel vouchers to assist them with their travel up to Nelson for the Zone 4 South Island Secondary Schools Basketball Premierships held in August of this year. The team played well, despite some challenges around the general health of the students as they were also battling illness at the beginning of the week. They boys saw some success at Saxton Stadium, coming 17th overall. They intend to return next year, stronger than ever and a team to watch out for! “
