The NIWA Science fair was held in the Timaru Boys’ High School Hall during Week 7.
Congratulations go to the following 3 boys.
Angus Lovett won the year 9 category for his project, “Growing Success” investigating the effect of fertiliser on the rate of growth of Barley and Wheat.
Daniel Heffernan won first place in the senior science investigation category with his project “Energy on the fly”, where he investigated a flywheel and its potential uses for energy generation in the future.
Finley Fulton came runner-up in the senior science investigation category with his investigation around water quality in the Opihi River.
Well done to all the boys’ involved in the Science Fair this year. We look forward to having more entries next year!
