Will Knight represented New Zealand at the Asia Pacific championships in Bali
Will traveled to Bali, Indonesia knowing the skill level of combat that Asia has will undoubtedly be the best he will encounter!
Will fought hard in the 17s age group competition and managed to pick up silver in muaythai and gold in k1 kickboxing, beating Australian opponents and fellow kiwis to the podium. Also Stopping nearly all of his opponents with knees.
Will was commented on as the fighter with the most humility. He displayed this after every fight by checking in on his opposition as the ref waved the fight to be stopped. The World kickboxing Association CEO from England came to shake Will's hand and said "what a champion, because of your display of professionalism and humility I will never forget your name".
Will has been asked to represent NZ later on in the year at the ISKA world champs in Brisbane Australia. This will be another step up on the ladder and more experience for our world champ from Timaru.
