Newsletter from the International Department
Thai Group - July
We recently hosted a short term group of 18 students, and 2 Chaperones from Thailand.
A big thank you to the many people who were involved and contributed to their experiences here in Timaru and the surrounding areas.
The group were here to experience regular school, share their culture, make friends and enjoy many extra activities, it was certainly an enriching experience all round. A highlight from our perspective was watching the students from Thailand perform the traditional Khon at assembly.
Current students
Currently we have a range of short term and long term students from Japan, Thailand, Germany, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea. Many students are well involved in school, kiwi lifestyle and the community beyond school for example Eco Youth, volunteering in the community, school balls, sports, Ski Academy, local and South Island activities with school, hostels and homestays.

Sharing kiwi lifestyle and activities such as farming experience or a trip to a place that is special to homestay
Going to view the little blue penguins at dusk
Arranging a special car to go the school ball
