Held annually, school students from Mid and South Canterbury are invited to display original exhibits of investigations that are scientific and or technological.
11 Timaru Boys’ High students were selected to enter the 2023 Sanford Science and Technology Fair that was judged on Saturday the 9th of September.
In the Year 9 and 10 Intermediate Individual section four of our boys gained prizes at the prizegiving last Wednesday at Craighead.
In the Intermediate Individual Science category:
Will Rogers received a BRONZE award for his project titled: Do Sponges have Microplastics
Isaac Adam received a BRONZE award for his project titled: Hungry Worms
Ollie Erskine received a GOLD award in Intermediate Science Individual category, he gained Senior a 3rd place Environment Canterbury Award for his Homemade Water Purification project
Daniel Heffernan received a GOLD award in Intermediate Science Individual category, a senior second place Environment Canterbury award, a Technology open award, an Opuha Water award and a NIWA Climate, Freshwater and Marine Science award for his impressive project titled: H2Ocean
Daniel was placed SECOND overall in the Fair.
