On Monday 27th February Year 9 Totara participated in a Drama workshop run by the South Canterbury Museum at school.
This workshop was a role play based activity which focused on an aspect of our New Zealand history - The Treaty of Waitangi.
These students were able to apply their knowledge of the Drama techniques (voice, body and movement) practically to ensure the success of this interactive activity. It was wonderful to see this group of students so engaged in the task by asking questions and using various props and costumes to bring this important history lesson to life.
The remaining Year 9 classes will also have this opportunity with the Museum workshop, when they complete their 13 week rotation in Drama during the year.
