Thomas Kyle and Issac Boorer-Lilly crowned champions at TBHS Swimming Sports
This year’s swimming championships were held at the school pool in cool,blustery conditions on Thursday the 23 rd of February.The Senior events were hotly contested between Alex Tudgey and Thomas Kyle. Kyle by virtue of 4 titles (50, 100 and 1500 metre Freestyle as well as the50 metre Breaststroke) took out the mantle of Senior Champion from Tudgey who won the 50 metre Backstroke and Open Butterfly races as well as the 200metres Freestyle.
Lachlan Crawford added to the competitive nature of the Senior finals with numerous minor placings.In the Junior Championship Issac Boorer-Lilley and Bruno Resende also fought out several tight finishes. Both took out 2 titles Boorer-Lilley in the 100 and 200metre Freestyle and Resende in the 50 metre Freestyle and Backstroke. By virtue of an extra minor placing Boorer-Lilley took the overall title.The Champion house went to Dawson while the prefects in spite of a stirring final leg by Mr Doyle narrowly prevailed in the Staff versus Prefects relay. Having also taken victory at the Athletic sports Mr Dominikovich has called an emergency crisis meeting for the staff.
