News from the Hostel
It has been a busy time at Thomas House the last few weeks, we have said farewell to many of our Year 13 boys, announced our new Head Boarder Moss Peake along with Deputy Head Boarder Jack Neal, and prefects Kade McMillan, Charlie Paul, Patrick Howden, Thomas Allan, William Eason, Nick McDowell and Jack Scott. We are excited to work alongside them all next year.
Speaking of next year we had our Year 9 boarders for 2023 stay the night on 7th November with our prefects spending time with them at the school gym for multisports, their buddies who were great at showing them hostel life. We are sure they will love their time at Thomas House and make lifelong friends.
Our maintenance man Brian has been hard at work, cleaning out gutters, trimming trees, and prepping the pathway for concrete which will be happening first week of December. The Year 12 carpark is now up and functioning ensuring a safer and more secure area for our boarders. We have started a Thomas House parents Facebook page to keep our hostel whanau up to date with the everyday happenings at the hostel. It's a great way to share photos, stories and information. One of those photos was of our Year 10 Japanese student drenching a sheep on a Ag School Trip (See attached photo). Great memories for our International Boarders. We wish all our Hostel whanau and boarders a very safe and happy Christmas break and we look forward to journeying with you all in 2023. Thomas House Team.
