The challenges of Covid have had quite an impact on the ability for Branches to meet.
It is hoped that as we come to terms with the pandemic the chance to reconnect will improve. Tentative steps are being made and as outlined below THSOBA Branches are gradually returning to normal.

Hawkes Bay Branch
Chris Moore continues to keep the flag flying in the Bay. Covid has limited gathering and when the current wave subsides an event will happen. Chris is hopeful that in September / October Old Boys & Old Girls will be able to meet up.
Chris continues to make well considered contributions to the National Exec meetings. He made the pertinent point, last meeting (25 July), that it is just over 7 years to TBHS 150th anniversary celebrations. Too early for bookings but planning urged.
Melbourne Old Boys
Bill White and Bruce McNeill have kept a loyal group of Timaruvians connected across the ditch in Melbourne. Chris Moore and Noel Davies are traveling to Melbourne in mid-September and are hopeful of reconnecting with the Melbournians.
Auckland Branch
Noel Davies zooms in to the THSOBA Exec meetings. He shared the common frustration of Covid limiting connection. A project that Noel has indicated might appeal to the Auckland Branch is the restoration of Bill Thomas’s Grandfather clock which sits forlornly at in storage in the side room of the Memorial Library. Ninety years on from Bill’s tenure as Rector it seems a good time to have the clock back in working order.
