Held 28th and 29th of March at Caroline Bay in Timaru
Timaru Boys’ High School students Nicos Shearer, Daniel Ussher, James O’Connor, Mitchyl Ovenstone, Miles Henriksen, Quinn Pratt and local club sailor James Illingworth took part in the Lower South Island Schools’ Team Racing regatta.
Conditions were perfect for team sailing (even if it was a bit cold and the sea a bit lumpy!) 6 teams from around the South Island attended and 4 round robins were completed with a total of 60 races sailed. While the wins did not come our way we were very competitive and a lot of experience was gained.
Thanks to parents Alistair Shearer and Simon Ussher for their hours given to organisation both on and off the water.
