Year 12 and13 Hospitality

Timaru Boys' is fortunate in having a school boarding house on-site, providing opportunity for collaboration in many facets of school life.

The Year 12/13 Hospitality class recently went on a "field trip" to the Thomas House kitchen where they were able to experience real life examples of food safety in action in a commercial kitchen.  

This valuable information is important to the students as they prepare for a Unit Standard assessment task on Food Safety towards the end of this term.

Sincere thanks to Justin Holman for taking the time to show us around this kitchen space and highlight some of the key points regarding food safety, in particular the Food Control Plan.
