Our International Student Department continues to grow with three new arrivals in Term 2:
Kerry Liu is a new student from Hong
Kong and will be in Year 9 this year. His interests are computer, gaming,
basketball and skiing and he is very interested in learning New Zealand way of
life. Kerry has settled into New Zealand with ease and his school life.
Joe Choy is also a new arrival from Hong Kong who is studying in Year 9. BMX biking is a passion, and Joe has raced for Hong Kong in age group competition. He is also interested in soccer, badminton and would like to learn how to ski this season. Joe looks forward to fresh learning opportunities on offer at Timaru Boys’.
Yuki Hirama is a 16 year old student from Japan who has joined in with rugby here at Timaru Boys’ High School and is loving it. Yuki scored his first New Zealand try last week so watch out - there is another game this week! Yuki has settled in very easily and is finding life here is New Zealand exciting. Yuki is also interested in skiing.
