Congratulations to Flynn Linton who was named not only in the New Zealand U16 Ice Hockey Squad for January 2019 but has also been selected for the NZ Men's U18 Ice Hockey side that was to be travelling to Luxembourg for the World Championships in April 2020.
The squad was to face South Africa – Luxembourg – Hong Kong – Kyrgystan with Bosnia & Herzegovina and were targeting a semi-final and final opportunity to further New Zealand’s progress up the International Tier system.
However, due to the Corona Virus outbreak, the decision was made last week by the governing body to cancel the tournament.
Plans are afoot for an International Tri series in Australia in 2020 and Flynn will continue his training and New Zealand camps to make sure they give the higher ranked Australian side a good work over.
