The 2020 South Canterbury Sports Awards will be announced via live-stream 8-10 June in a joint venture between Sport Canterbury - South Canterbury and WeAreCanterbury.
Timaru Boys' is proud of our school community members who are included in this year's nominations. We wish them every success.
- 2019 TBHS Hockey 1st XI are in for Team of the Year
- 2019 SC Hockey U13 Hatch Boys - a number of whom now attend TBHS are also in for Team of the Year
- Hockey 1st XI Coach (and Old Boy) Ben Grant has been nominated in the Coach of the Year and Official of the Year categories
- TBHS Art teacher Wayne Doyle has been nominated for Master Sportsperson of the Year
- Recent Old Boys George Guerin (Athletics) nominated for Young Sportsperson of the Year along with Jack Sands and Riley Taylor (both for Swimming) nominated for Young Sportsperson of the Year and Will Gibson (Water Skiing)
- Recent Old Boy Keaton Swindells (Inline Speed Skating) nominated for Young Sportsperson of the Year (alongside his dad Mark Swindells who has been nominated for Official of the Year)
- Old Boy Don Garland nominated for Coach of the Year
- Old Boys Tom Walsh and Cullen Grace are in the running for Sportsperson of the Year
