Senior students are soaring to new heights in their Aviation course.
Timaru Boys' students have the opportunity to attain a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) in a fixed wing (aeroplane) while studying for their national academic qualifications. The 10 week course is run in conjunction with the South Canterbury Aero Club and students have their normal classes along with aviation theory during the course of the school day. After school or weekends they gain practical flying experience under the care of the South Canterbury Aero Club.
