Our Road Cyclists had a successful day out at the Aoraki Road Cycling Championships held out at the Levels Raceway.
Achieving more podium finishes than any other team assured them of winning the overall cup on the day.
Congratulations to Noah Hollamby for his standout performance which saw him win all three U16 events. The individual time trial, team time trial (with Reef Roberts and Payo O’Sullivan) and the scratch race saw our boys attain an average speed of 44km/hr.
Jesse Johnston took third place in the U16 individual time trial and scratch race whilst Ferg Sail also achieved a third placing in the Over 16 scratch race.
The day finished with TBHS bagging two firsts, a second and a third in the only team races of the day, which meant that all twelve members of the team took home a podium finish.
The team continue their training as we look forward to the South Island Champs held during the first weekend of the school holidays, and a cyclo-cross race on the last weekend.
We wish our cyclists well for both of these events which will take place in Christchurch.
