Timaru Boys’ Softball Saints won the South Canterbury Secondary Schools final with a clear-cut but hard fought 10-2 victory over Temuka.
A number of players stepped up to bat for the Saints against an able pitcher, while Toby Milne performed well on the pitching mound for TBHS. A committed fielding performance was also a highlight as was the face-plant by Haowai Cole when stealing home. A number of these boys are competing this week in the South Island Tournament in Ashburton from the 19-22 March.
