In an outstanding individual performance, Year 13 student Jack Sands won seven titles and eclipsed five records in this year’s TBHS Swimming Sports championship events.

At the short-course finals afternoon on Thursday 14 February, Jack won titles in the 50 metre Backstroke, Breast-stroke, and Open Butterfly events all in record time as well as breaking Riley Taylor's 100 metre Freestyle record. He also retained his 50 metre Freestyle title but was 0.1 seconds outside his 2018 record time. In the lead in to the finals afternoon, Jack had also recorded victories in the 200 metres Freestyle again in record time and the 1500 metres Freestyle.

Jack now owns a total of eight TBHS swimming records across the junior and senior ranks set throughout his school career.

Matthew Moore, a fine swimmer in his own right, was runner-up to Sands as Senior Champion.

In the Junior Championship, Kyle Thomas was in fine form winning five Championship titles and dominating across all disciplines with Benson Arnold finishing runner-up to Thomas.

Simmers House won the Inter-House competition for 2019.
