At this year’s Sanford Science and Technology Fair, Tim Currie did extremely well with his project called “Clover vs Grass” which investigated interspecific competition between clover and grass. Tim received an all-expenses paid Hands-On Science experience at Otago University.
The goal of Hands-On at Otago is to demonstrate, in a friendly and interactive environment, some of the activities that researchers are involved in and to encourage talented young New Zealanders to consider further study as a step in their career pathway. Hands-On at Otago 2017 is running from the 15th - 20th January 2017. Tim has signed up to look into what a Zoology Degree may entail.
Hayden McNulty has also signed up for Hands-On; Hayden intends to look into what studying Politics at degree level would involve. We wish Hayden and Tim all the best and look forward to hearing about their experience.
