Timaru Boys' High School is extremely proud to have three of our Old Boys as recipients of the 2019 Aspect Trust Scholarships.
The successful applicants - Cullen Grace (rugby), Riley Taylor (swimming) and Matthew McLean (golf) - received scholarships of $5,000 each after a comprehensive interview process in front of a panel of three trustees, for the purpose of boosting their successful athletic careers.
These young men were all deemed to have met the benchmark of high achievement, standards and work ethic and will be wonderful representatives for Aspect, under inaugural ambassador, Tom Walsh.
Recipients will also receive nutritional and dietary advice and support from a fully qualified dietician, gym membership with qualified trainers tailoring a programme to their specific sport's needs, and the opportunity to regularly meet with other scholarship recipients at Aspect sports workshops during the year.
Aspect Trust is always looking for businesses to be part of the programme; by donating $100 a month, they could help make a huge difference in supporting South Canterbury’s high achieving young athletes who go on to become great role models for local youth and highly productive members of society.
