Board Profile: Di Hay, Co-opted Trustee
I’m a comparative newcomer to the TBHS board, coming on as a co-opted parent representative in October last year.
I have two children - my son is a year 11 student at TBHS and my daughter is year 7 at Waimataitai School.
I work as operations manager at Aoraki Development, the economic development agency for Timaru District and have a background in communications and marketing. My work has spanned print and radio journalism, public relations, marketing and on-air presenting for commercial radio. I’ve also been involved in sales, both retail and wholesale, through two businesses I’ve jointly owned.
It’s both a privilege and a challenge to be on the Board of Trustees and I’m proud to have this opportunity to have a role with the school.
When I’m not working, I enjoy being able to travel to different parts of New Zealand (including Northland in this photo) and spend a lot of time at our family property on Banks Peninsula.
