Timaru Girls’ High School hosted the 2016 Year 12 Timaru Global Challenges Science Quiz on 23 August, an event two TBHS teams entered.
There were seven rounds of questions, with each round on a different science subject ranging from Chemistry to Food Science to Agricultural Science.
Congratulations to both of our teams: the team of Hamish Dunbar, Louis
Low, Tim Currie and Charlie Stock took out the
competition beating twelve other teams from local schools, whilst our second
team consisting of Ethan Bowmar,
Hayden McNulty, Sungmin Lee and George Copland ended up second
overall. The Science Department is very proud of its achievement.
